This timely program explores the enduring legacy of Sefarad and the extraordinary story of the Conversos and their descendants—a largely untold chapter connecting history with identity, genealogy, and communities around the world today. The program will also introduce JHA’s emerging Converso Online Community Initiative, focused on reconnecting these communities with their heritage and with one another through education, genealogy, technology, and community-building.
We are honored to feature the following distinguished speakers:
• Genie Milgrom – Genealogist and author whose research traced her Jewish ancestry back 22 generations, uncovering a remarkable Converso family history.
• Ron Duncan Hart, Ph.D. – Cultural anthropologist, Jewish scholar, author of Crypto-Jews: The Long Journey, and expert on the continuing legacy of Crypto-Jewish communities.
