We all have heard about the Converso Jews but how much do we really know about them? Who exactly are the Marranos? How did it all start? Are there any Conversos left today? If so, how is it possible?


In answering these questions we will travel through time in a journey of historical discovery. In the process we will be confronted with a journey of self-discovery. We will learn about a not-so-well-known story of bitter persecution but more

importantly about a glorious story of Jewish survival against all odds.


About the speaker:

Rabbi Shlomo Pereira is a native of Lisbon, Portugal and moved to the United States in 1982. He received his rabbinical ordination in Jerusalem in 2004 and has served in the last two decades as an Assistant Rabbi, Education Director, and JLI Director at Chabad of Virginia in Richmond.
